Circular S.r.l. Awarded a New European Research and Innovation Project!
We are delighted to announce that Circular S.r.l. has been awarded a new Horizon Europe project under the prestigious and highly competitive EIC Pathfinder Open 2026 programme, which supports frontier research and the development of highly innovative technologies.
The project, entitled IONFLUX – Adaptive Electrochemical Matter Based on Self-Reconfiguring Liquid Systems, will run for 48 months and is expected to start in February 2027.
This significant achievement recognises Circular's scientific expertise and extensive experience in sustainability-oriented research, particularly in the fields of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA), and Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA).
Participation in IONFLUX represents another important milestone in Circular's growth as an innovative SME specialising in the research, development, and application of advanced methodologies for assessing the sustainability of products, processes, and emerging technologies.
Through collaboration with universities, research institutions, and international partners, Circular contributes to integrating environmental, social, and economic dimensions into technological innovation processes, fostering the development of sustainable solutions from the earliest stages of research.
The award of the IONFLUX project further strengthens Circular's position within the European research and innovation landscape, demonstrating how the scientific expertise developed by a Sicilian SME can make a tangible contribution to the European Union's most advanced research programmes.
