Within the framework of the European MINE.IO project, funded by the Horizon Europe programme, Circular S.r.l. collaborated with DIATI – the Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, contributing to the assessment of the social sustainability of technological innovations in the mining sector. The collaboration focused particularly on the application of the Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) methodology to evaluate the social impacts associated with the digitalisation of mining processes, with special attention to working conditions, local communities, and stakeholder engagement, supporting the development of a more sustainable, responsible, and inclusive European raw materials supply chain.
